Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about what we do, who we are, and how we operate.
1. Are you a registered political party? ▾
No. Makhi Janta Party is an un-registered, satirical digital civic collective. We are not registered under Section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, and we do not contest elections or seek political office.
2. Is this satire? ▾
Yes. We use parody, memes, and satirical framing to draw attention to serious constitutional issues: paper leaks, media capture, electoral deletions, defection politics, and corruption. While our tone is satirical, our statutory demands are real and carefully researched.
3. Do you collect donations or fees? ▾
Never. Joining the party and signing petitions is 100% free. We do not accept money, subscriptions, or donations. Anyone asking for money on behalf of MJP is fraudulent.
4. What happens to my data? ▾
We store only what you submit (name/alias, email, city) to track petition tallies and notify you of campaign milestones. We never sell, share, or broker your personal information. Read our full Privacy Policy.
5. Who runs this movement? ▾
An anonymous, decentralized collective of students, young graduates, civic tech volunteers, and satirists inspired by the Cockroach Janta Party. No political patrons, no party whips.
6. How do I leave or delete my data? ▾
Send a quick message to our team on Instagram @makhijantaparty.ig requesting removal. All associated records will be permanently purged within 48 hours.
